Home Screen app

Add Seat Watcher to your phone.

Get a Seat Watcher icon that opens like an app and can request system notifications. Keep it open while you wait. Important: Closing the app or locking your phone stops seat checks.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open this page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, tap Edit Actions first.
  4. If shown, leave Open as Web App turned on, then tap Add.
  5. Open the new Seat Watcher icon and use Enable & send test notification.

  1. Open this page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the More menu (the three dots beside the address bar).
  3. Tap Install and create shortcut, then Install. Some phones show Add to Home screen instead.

Our small browser extensions can copy the movie, theatre, format, showtime, and selected seats from a Cineplex page into this watcher for your review.

Install in Chrome
  1. If you are updating, remove the old Cineplex Watch Helper first.
  2. Download and unzip the Chrome file.
  3. Open chrome://extensions and enable Developer mode.
  4. Select Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
Install in Firefox
  1. If you are updating, remove the old Cineplex Watch Helper first.
  2. Download and unzip the Firefox file.
  3. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
  4. Select Load Temporary Add-on and choose manifest.json.

Firefox removes unsigned temporary add-ons when it closes, so load it again after restarting Firefox.
